The only mmo I ever really played was Runescape.

I hate anything where I am required to find and work with a person to do something. There are two quests like that, you can't get into waterbirth island dungeon alone, and dungeoneering gives bad experience when you solo. I don't do bosses that require teams either. I hate hard bosses and I've been abused before for trying a boss with a team and not living up to the other players expectations of me considering that I'm maxed combat. The fact that I had only been to that boss once or twice before didn't matter to them.

I hate any kind of pvp. It isn't just about losing my items. I even hate it in safe minigames.

I hate how Runescape has been pushing clans lately. I will never join a clan.

Both in video games and in real life I hate having people tell me I can do something that I know I can't do. I've even had someone tell me that I must be lying to troll when I said that I can't kill Jad. I am not fast enough to kill him and getting to him is instant death for me.

My idea of a good mmo is one where I get on, grind, and collect and hoard some items in my bank. No social interaction or twitch gaming required.

I have a bit of a history with MMO's (Only a bit, I must emphasise) and can honestly say they aren't for me (Aside from Star Wars: TOR when that comes out, as I'm a big fan of the Old Republic series)

I tried WoW, got to level 15 and got bored, because I felt that it wasn't for me (That, and most of the players I met online were pr**ks)

I did play Runescape for a while when I was at school, and did quite well at that, but what annoyed me was the constant street salesmen, the players trying and failing to turn their writing different colours and most of all, the word "Noob" was used waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many times for my liking, that's pretty much put me off MMOs now.

Having monthly subscription fees. Guild Wars is a perfect example of how unnecessary they are.

guild wars has micro transactions so it was one of the first such games released in the western markets. Thing is, the game is so bland and superficial in design that its really not much competition to any other game out there.
