I used to think RPG's were my favorite. Nothing decent has come out in that genre for years. All the storylines are terrible these days. At the moment I would have to say I'm having way more fun with action/adventure games. Or maybe they could be called action RPG's I guess, since some of them have a very crude levelling system.

It's a tie between FPS and action-adventure. Stealth and RPGs are up there, too, though.
