FFVI didn't freeze on me so I have yet to have an FF game freeze on me. Took me a while to find VI as there was a stock problem, so in the end I got an American copy off eBay.

I will judge all 12 games with this category:
- Storyline. How good and memorable the story is.

I've finally got FFVI back from my friend. Now I need to go back and get some missed espers and techniques. Not sure whether I have to battle all the bosses in the tower again though, but with Ultima (when I get it) I should have enough.

Berserker, if you like FF3, you probably like FF5 more than FF6. FF5 has similar gameplay to FF3 while FF6 is more story-driven like FF4 (which is what i like from RPGs)

The series is great overall, but it definitely peaked at VI for me. VII came close but the characters weren't as interesting even though there were far less of them. I don't think the core series is going to decline in quality like Square Enix's other games and numerous spinoffs.

The only one I didn't like was IX because it really felt like nothing more than a rehash of previous games, and they did it in an unintelligent way. For me it was sort of like watching one of those dumb spoof films like Not Another Teen Movie or Scary Movie. You could spot all the references but it didn't make the game any better.

For me I prefer VI to VII because VII only has three character parties whereas VI has four. It means you have a decent sized party. Four characters is standard for me, though IV has five. Speaking of which, I wonder whether Final Fantasy IV DS will retain voice acting after being translated?

My favorite is 6. I played it (FF III us) right when it came out. *Does math*. Wow, I was half my age when that game came out :O .. makes me feel old. My mom bought it for me and gave it to me in the car as I was riding home from school.

There's a GBA version now? Wow, I almost want to get it just so I can play that awesome game again!

Their remaking IV for DS in 3D. No doubt they'll remake FFVI for DS eventually.

The only Final Fantasy game I ever finished was an emulated SNES version of FF6 (the American version, which was called FF3). I thought the storyline was pretty good, but I played it after Chrono Trigger and found FF6 inferior in every way.

FFVI for GBA has been released in PAL regions. If you own a DS, you can play GBA games.

I haven't played FFVII and FFIX yet. Right now, my favorites are FFVIII, FFIV and FFVI.

And I love FFT too!
