Ok after much practice I got good enough at the Voltorb flip game to get to Level 7, and won about 700 coins in just that one round. I managed to save up about 11,500 coins in just a few hours. Now what to buy, what to buy....

I like Voltorb Flip. It's much less random, and I rack up coins many times faster than with the slots.
My only real objection is to a casino being replaced with a guy in his livingroom. :P
It's a bit weird that I can't lose any coins, but it does reduce frustration, I suppose.

@Epilefftic: Somebody should shop a demotivator out of those three pictures.

@Bradleigh: Some more adult NPCs spread around big cities also seem to be customers, and the business is apparently explained by "An Eccentric Billionaire Did It". :P

It's been a while (OK, so it's only Charizard) since a starter could learn Fly. I'm not getting my hopes up, but I wish Smugleaf would sprout wings.

Jynx is based on the Ganguro girls, not black people, though I can understand why folks in the states immediately assume its about a certain thing, and then complain without even looking into it.

I FINALLY beat the Elite Four and have subsequently discovered that the boat is NOT a good place to train a new team.

I think I have about ten Surf Pikachu. I stopped counting. Not one single Fly Pikachu for PLA. :?

I want to use a bulky Ursaring with Trick Room support. I guess I'll have to use an Orb, but I'd rather use Leftovers and Will-O-Wisp.
Not that many pokemon can learn both Will-O-Wisp and Trick Room, though, and it's not easy for me to get multiple TM 61. I wish Porygon could pass down moves to non-Porygon offspring.
Dusknoir looks promising, due to its immunity to Ursaring's primary weakness, Fighting, and its low speed that lets it benefit equally from Trick Room.
Gardevoir is better at eliminating Fighting types, but it would be crippled by Trick Room. Besides, Ursaring doesn't really need offensive backup like that.

I took 20,000 steps on my walker yesterday, and went through all of those watts without getting either a flying or surfing Pikachu.

And yea the TM shortage is frustrating, and it promotes a Male team for breeding purposes.

Some TMs are easier to come by with Pokemon Battle Revolution, but I kind of missed the train on that game. I feel that it's too late in the generation to invest that money. Still, HG/SS is way more TM friendly than any past games, thanks to lotteries and walkers, so at least we don't have to deal with the scarcity of Gen I anymore. :P

Gah, I saw a Typhlosion in the mini-Frontier of Viridian. I wonder what the reasoning behind deactivating the dex in BP matches was. The game is taunting me.

Edit: I'm more excited about the Ruby Sapphire remakes than Black & White, honestly. Hoenn has lots of places and pokemon I like. Probably the highest density of must-have pokemon for me of any region. I would be surprised if R/S/E weren't remade.

R/S/E was my favourite generation...it gets a lot of criticism, but I loved it.

Seems like a lot of people dislike the new Pokemon they introduced in Hoenn, but I think they're the best ones...and they made for some great stories in the anime!

I would be very surprised if the remakes continued, unless they make another huge change to the game mechanics again.

Hmm, depends on their resources, I suppose. If they ever have some leftover time and money, they'll probably milk older games for all they're worth.
Although, yeah, Gen III lacks the popularity that made FR/LG and HG/SS so profitable.

Digimon, much?
I'm calling Dark/Steel on Zekrom. Not a great typing, but that's my bet.
