I'd like to see a film of Alpha Centauri. Especially Recon Rover Rick.

The problem with game titles to movie release is the fact that you can NOT copy the entire levels and make that a movie. It has to have a storyline and other characters. I think DooM was a good example.
Now, those that have played Half Life will know that Gordon doesn't speak. If a movie was based on this. It is likely, the intro that is used in the game might be extended to something before, maybe having a family, going to work. Tram ride shortened due to the fact that most of it applies to showing you whats going on and an immersive world would not apply to a movie. Now - Gordon Freeman would have a voice. He would have to. There WILL be people trying to say this isn't faithful to the game. Game = interactive. Movie = spectator.

I think people forget this when they want a game to be made into a movie. If it was the same as a game, you might as well watch a friend play.

The bottom line is: Making a successful game title into a movie is very hard work. The pressure to not destroy the game and make it good that fans will love to watch again and again.

I'm not sure if some people have thought about the potential of game to movie for the game in their list. It has to be believable.

I use Half Life in my example as I really think it would make a good candidate.

Quake could have potential
Duke Nukem might make a good adult cartoon. Could make a good movie if done right
Blood (3D Reals/Monolith Productions) could be another.

probably xenosaga if anything but i figure somehow they would screw the story to death.

and probably heavenly sword just so i can see the ending [can't play it worth crap]

and just because of my obsession, kingdom hearts. i'd love to see the xehanorts on the big screen.

mind you these would all be rendered movies not live. like advent children quailty.

if they made a portal movie i just might watch it.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 or 2 would make excellent short series movies, as long as they got the right actors for each hero and didn't try to make any origin story, just starting as if everyone knew who the heroes were.

Final Fantasy 6 and 9 would be awesome movies.

And Dragon Age: Origins as a full length CG movie.

Batman: Arkham Asylum would be great too.

Lastly, Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2. Because we definitely need more zombie killing action (specially one where the zombies can fight back!)

Legend of Zelda? In the second trailor they have the color a tad off don't they? Link was usualy a darker blond, and Zelda was a blond not bruenett. That kind of Ganadorf is tann colored in the games to, and I personaly think he would be better brown, but that's just me.

Myst series-movie
Spyro the Dragon-movie, TV would cheese that
Crash Bandicoot-TV
Clocktower-movie
Morrowind-either
Mega man X-with humans, not toons
Oddworld series-would be real cool if they do it right

I'd like to see a TV series based in the Fallout universe but not based on any of the actual games...

The show would be something like Fallout: Tales of the New California Rangers.

Anyone who played Fallout 2 will remember these guys as the elite military/police force of The New California Republic. The show would follow the Rangers fighting raiders, slavers, The Enclave and The Brotherhood of Steele as they bring law and order to the wastelands! 8)

I usually don't think games and movies should ever mix, but if it were done right I'd like a Fatal Frame movie.

Pretty much anything like Bioware already has the cinematic scope required... they have a good writing staff. Hell, there are times I think that Kotor was a more epic production than the entire original Star Wars trilogy... And the plot twist in the middle of the game blows "I am your father" clear out of the water... when I first saw that, I almost literally **** my pants...

Ridley Scott would be ideal to direct a Quake movie (involving the Strogg war.) He's done a good job with gritty sci-fi and war movies.
How about Ridley Scott directing Mass Effect? Hell, it's halfway to Blade Runner as it is...

Monkey Island was heavily inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, and so were the movies of the same name, so...

I just had this idea of adapting Hideo Kojima's Snatcher into a screenplay. However, it's going to be difficult to adapt the Metal Gear games, given the excessive amount of story details found only in Codec calls.

I gotta say, the commercials seem very cool. I like the first one better, though. Also, one game that would be a KILLER is the PS2 game Vexx. If you haven't heard of it, then Google the game or even ask a local game shop for a copy. If they have it, however.
