I have also known him as dr. Robotnik.... Calling him Eggman makes him look ....odd.... o.O

Besides, i don't know if that's me only, but it seems they've made Sonic a bit more childish.... >< No? I mean, i remember playing the Sega game (a bit, still foggy in the memory) and there wasn't so much additionnal characters or even an anime about him -.-

IIRC, Eggman was the original Japanese name for Robotnick. Introducing it into Sonic Adventure allowed them to get lazy and just use the Japanese name fulltime in America.

I know that it would not be possible to bring back 2D Sonic back except on the DS or something (although I have never found them as good as the originals) but the latest game didn't seem to be like Sonic at all. I miss the old stuff... *whimpers*

I also never got the Eggman change in name. Same with King Koopa changing into Bowser. It just upseted me not having the same names I was used to as a child.
