I'm pretty sure I have those two, but I am missing a lot of bugs. That tarantula "killed" me a lot of times before I finally caught one @_@ Not sure if I have the scorpion or not, I'd have to check.

I finally got the tarantula, just need the petaltail now....

also gave up on Crysis 3 ( too frustrating ) and Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon ( too gimmicky with the tilt control crap ). new Gamefly rentals coming soon I'll be playing: Lost Planet 2 and Metro: Last Light

I need to get back into that. I got it for the Cube and was playing it for a while, I want to beat it so I can play Umbrella Chronicles without spoilers, but it just didn't "grab" me at the time...I need to give it another chance sometime soon.

I never got to play that game very much. I do have the remake for the DS, and beat it with most of the stars, but it does have quite a few differences from the original.

I liked RE:0 for the atmosphere and story, though the story does take off rather slowly, and outside the simple zombies, the enemies were a very unimaginative pallet of infected bugs and zoo animals until about 3/4 into the game... and then I believe most of those remaining few enemies were just enemies from a later RE title. I can certainly see why it wouldn't grab everybody's attention.

I'd just make sure to play it with a decent online guide if you do go back and play it. Playing on Normal, I was conservative with ammo, smart with saves and hoarding equipment and still had to make three attempts at the end battle before making it through because I kept running out of ammo. I imagine without a guide, it'd be hard not to end up at the end of the game too dry of ammo to progress to the game's finish.

It's not a very long game either if you want to just experience it for reference. My save totaled about 12 hours, but I often paused to go make food and whatnot, and any time running the game save adds to the overall end result timer. I'd guess I actively played for about 8 hours. Though, the game can be beaten in about three hours, as, it appears there is a reward for doing so, but you'd have to know the game like the back of your hand to do so, I'd think.

I think I like it more for nostalgic purposes, though it is a nice game for the most part. I don't know that I want to complete it past beating the end boss though either. It's fun, but the camera angle and controls are rather archaic for a 3D game. So I've already ran into a handful of star challenges I don't wish to partake in because they're just so ill in forethought through tedious design and clunky controls.

If you finish it, or get far enough in to form an opinion of it, I'd like to know what you thought/think of it. I've been thinking to find a used copy and complete my LOZ collection on GameCube and make a play through of the main series up to that point when I'm done with RE 0-4 along with Code Veronica.

I liked it a lot, but it is one of those Zelda games that gives you way more rupees than you will ever need. Treasure hunting started getting a little dull because you'll open a chest, find your wallet full, and just put the rupee back in. I bought the pointless red mail (which eats up rupees while you're using it) just to get rid of a bunch.

Also, I liked the Cube version much better than the Wii one. Didn't care for the motion controls much, and having all of the maps mirrored messes with your brain hardcore.

i actually played it and beat it 100% a while ago, this is my second time playing through it.
i definitely agree that you get you get way more rupees than you will ever need, but i guess they're pretty useful if you're going for 100%. i found trading in bugs and the rupees in dungeons really helped with the Magic Armor quest. but still 5000 is a little much.
still, not as much as an offender as Skyward Sword or WW with their nearly 5 figure rupee counts.

the graphics are eh. i liked them better than in Wind Waker, and character designs like Ashei and the sages i really enjoyed. what i didn't like is the dullness of many places, with much of the same colors. i also found myself turning up the brightness on my tv in dark places like the cave of Ordeals where the lantern just wouldn't cut it. and the BLOOM. dont get me started on the goddamn bloom. The graphics don't meet the Wii's full potential given it was relased for the 'weaker' GCN and it was just pasted onto the Wii with no graphical enhancements, just a mirror. I still think a more Metroid Prime 2-kinda look would have Been ideal for both the wii and GCN.

I really enjoyed the dungeons, they were a good difficulty. the bosses, and the rest of the game, were much too easy, IMO. for this playthrough i'm only usind 7 hearts. i could use less but i like the way 7 hearts looks on my screen.

I thought they did a really good job with Skyward Sword, I never felt like I had too many rupees.

...and then with A Link Between Worlds, they went right back to rupees through the roof =|

Though I suppose it would be a lot better if you disable StreetPass, and enable Hero Mode.

I'm curious to see how much Wind Waker is improved in the HD version on Hero Mode. I'm still in the first dungeon, so I can't even buy potions yet (which makes me a little nervous at times). But it's been so long since playing the original, I don't really remember if there were too many rupees or not.

I hated the bloom at first (heck, it was a brand new thing at the time, and everyone was abusing it, it literally hurt my eyes), but then I realized that it's only in the Twilight world, and it's not as bad in the rest of the game...so I could at least leave my "it's not realistic" at the door, since it's not supposed to be.

Minecraft Xbox 360 refurbishing a restaurant and ride in a theme park me and my brothers have made that has many restaurants and rides and a few hotels. I think it has as many rides as the Magic Kingdom but they are not only from there but also Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and there are a few original rides although one of those (the one I am refurbishing) is part of a large land partially based off of the cancelled Beastly Kingdom of Animal Kingdom. If I had to go over it in any further detail it would be a ridiculously long post.

you're right. it's not realistic.
i agree that the bloom isn't as bad in the "light" world, but it would get on my nerves during sunsets in wide open fields when everything would turn orange. i could barely see, it was like trekking through a friggin pumpkin patch.
i also found the "senses" graphics as Wolf LInk to be rather jarring, where most things are an indistinct green and you can't see very far, but i think that was done intentionally to discourage you from overusing your wolf senses.

you say you're playing A Link Between Worlds? i played the original ALTTP and i never got around to finishing it.
what do you think of it?

Thank you both. It sounds like something I'll look into. I've not played the series in awhile so I wasn't sure what the newer games were like. The last game I played a fair bit of was Majora's Mask on N64. I bought Windwaker shortly after I bought my GC, but the artistic cell-shaded direction really put me off from playing much more than an hour of it... maybe it's not so painful to look at as I recall, I've not touched it since then, which would be a fair few years, and my tastes have certainly mellowed in time.

yeah i wasn't too fond of cel-shading either. but it was a newish thing and everybody was experimenting, so i'll give it a pass.
i very much enjoy a more Skyward Sword-like art direction, where there is some cel-shading but things don't look like they're made of rubber.

currently playing through Metroid Fusion.
Gedo-X is a f*****g a-hole.

Not playing it, I beat it already ;) Haven't beat it on Hero Mode yet though.

I like it. If you like LttP, the overworld is obviously very similar, and that's my favorite part of the game (almost something like having a B Quest). The dungeons are alright, I didn't think they were "the best ever", and some of the design was a little frustrating and monotonous (especially the ones that involve equipping and unequipping the lantern).

Like I said, you get way more rupees than you will ever need, but enabling Hero Mode and disabling Streetpass would probably help a lot.
