I'm not a Zelda fanatic though I do think Ocarina of Time was one of the best games I've played, ever. I've played Zelda for the NES, for the SNES, all the Gameboy/GBC/GBA versions, and both N64 versions. The only ones that have disappointed me thus far have been Link to the Past (one of the last ones I played), and the Minish Cap, which seems too similar and indistinguishable from the other Gameboy titles.

The most annoying thing about Zelda for me is the constant reuse of settings, characters, etc. Maybe that's another reason why I didn't like Minish Cap; it had virtually no original music, the graphical design was copied from Wind Waker, and it was still all about saving some goddamn princess called Zelda. They need to make Zelda kick ass in the next game, like Mickey Mouse kicks ass in Kingdom Hearts. Or make it so she gets possessed or something and you have to beat her at the end. Just don't make me save her again.

Ocarina of Time sucks. Majora's Mask is better...

I can get through to the spirit temple in a day. But I'm just badass with the 3D Zelda games, the targeting system gives you a lot of power.

Playing AS Zelda would be pretty cool, and you could learn more about the royal family.

WW was one of the best zelda games, who cares if no one liked the graphics.. They gave link exagerated eyeball movements and facial expressions.

Has anyone else tried to sort all the Zelda games into some kind of meaningful timeline, storywise? :nerdy:

I've seen it sorted like this:

Ocarina of Time / Majora's Mask
A Link to the Past / Link's Awakening
Zelda I / Zelda II
Wind Waker

I guess Twilight Princess would fit sometime after the Ocarina era.

Anyways, I found the last boss of Twilight Princess to be pretty long, but I still managed to beat him the first time by bottling up some pink fairies.

I think a few hundred years after.

I forgot to pack fairys... but I didn't really need them, XD they had fairies in the bosses room if you know where to look :P kind of makes it too easy, though.
