Maybe we could run a couple campaigns so the GMs can play too.
Not a bad idea; allows everyone to get in as a player.

Though what edition(s) would we be using?
I've managed to procure the essentials of the 4th edition, but there are some minor things about that ruleset that bug me- no big deal, though. There's always the option of running a simplified & customized in-house/homebrew ruleset, too.

Actually, on second thought, we might want to start with a one-shot or two before starting any campaigns.
Probably a good idea. I was thinking along the same lines, myself. I haven't played D&D in years, and there are probably some people who'd want to join that've never played it before. It'd probably be good to start with something short and relatively simple, just to get everyone used to the game and to each other.

And I might chose to run one of the campaigns, but I'd like to see what style people would want before I start designing it too much.
I'd be cool with that. I've never been a DM before, so I'm a little hesitant to take on that challenge right off the bat. I do have a few ideas for one-shots or maybe short campaigns that I've been thinking about putting together some notes for, though.
