Depending on my mood, I'm currently working through Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, Assassin's Creed: Unity and Forza Horizon 2.

Finished Bayonetta 2 for the 4th time, finally ending it on Infinite Climax difficulty. The Lost Chapters were really hard!
Now i'm starting Tales of Xillia 2 and Pokemon Omega Ruby at the same time. The one that feel more interesting to play will be the one i'll be playing for now.

Lately I've mainly been playing TF2 and Shovel Knight, as well as some Icebreaker and Chromium BSU.

Elite: Dangerous, on the PC.

My initial thoughts on it: OMG COMPLICATED. Just piloting the ship around without it going bonkers and without me smacking directly into stationary training targets was hard enough to learn... let alone everything else I've yet to do. Learning combat was very tough, but holy heck is it satisfying. Next is learning how to dock without either crashing, or being fined or attacked for doing it wrong.

Just.... holy heck, EVERYTHING is complicated and deep in a realistic way. The game doesnt do ANYTHING automatically for you, except things like targeting assistance that you would expect an actual ship to do. Just docking means dealing with landing gear, making sure weapons are offline, requesting docking permission, matching the station's rotation, going through the slot thing, locating and then hovering over the proper landing pad, and then actually landing on it without smashing into anything. There's a bazillion different keys and such that do a million different things, and the UI is.. hard to describe. Does a good job of giving the feeling of actually being in the cockpit.

So far, the game is freaking amazing. I'd heard alot about it, but hadnt gotten my hopes up too high... but this has the potential to be one of the most amazing space-related games I've ever seen.

That learning curve though.... it's not as bloody cruel as a MOBA or something like Dwarf Fortress, but it's still very vertical, and actually mastering any aspect of it is going to take a loooooooooong time.

EDIT: OH GOODY and now for my favorite part of any game that goes online whatsoever: CHOOSING A BLASTED NAME. UUUUGH. This is why I looooooove the way Steam and Battle.net do it, where it DOESNT FREAKING MATTER if someone else is already using the name. You can use the bloody name ANYWAY, and your full "account name" will just be different but you wont actually see or use it much at all except when dealing with friend invites and such. That's how those services do it. But this is doing it the traditional irritating way. Naturally I cant use "Misery", which is irritating. Bah. This'll take awhile, I just know it.

Prince of Persia trilogy on PS3, as well as giving Assassin's Creed Unity another shot....not sure how much longer I'll bother with Unity, it's so cheap and frustrating in the worst ways ( as much as I hate games like Dark Souls for the difficulty, at least they're cheap & frustrating in a relatively GOOD way )

I just tried a random arcade-y indie game in my newly formed "Steam backlog" (a category I made in my Steam library and filled with all of the games I have that I might be interested but haven't tried out) called Super Puzzle Platformer Deluxe. It was kinda cool but I'm not sure it has enough depth to keep me interested for more than an hour at a time, and, thusly, I will probably move on to the next game soon enough.

Sniper Elite 1. It is upsetting how many features were taken away for V2 and V3. And its nice to play a shooter where the screen doesn't get covered with blood every time I get hit.

Having managed to make some progress in Sniper Elite 1 on max difficulty, now I'm planning to return to Ground Zeroes and hopefully finish it.

just finished Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons...man that game was depressing. Also actually starting to kind of enjoy Assassin's Creed Unity, and getting back into Pokemon Omega Ruby

I am currently rotating my time among Destiny, Sniper Elite v2, and Sniper Elite v3. Next up will likely be Assassins Creed Rogue. I really enjoyed AC Black Flag.

I do best on games that emphasize marksmanship, stealth, strategy, and so on. My reaction times are too slow for success in competitive run-and-gun games.

I recently got the Sam and Max collection for just $10. Discounts are great aren't they?
Aside from my usual preference for platformers and shooters, I thought I'd try point n click.

Sam and Max is really fun and hilarious and it was definitely worth the price.
