The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
s**t the wall is back in my house, i was going to try and jump over the steps, but i guess i forgot to do so, damn it.
i am in frostfall 15th my file size went down 200kbs, i never thought i would be so happy about seeing a save file change in my life. mages are pretty cool in this game once you actually get the higher spells at least, it seems they just show up after you get more skill or something because i am level 24 and spell skills are still really low. of course at first i wasn't settled on a spec for her so bounced bettween rogue, archer, warrior hybrid thing, mage. i'm glad i settled with one after a while. ^^;

I was taking my time with the Khajiit, and I hapened to look at the night sky one time when I was in Solitude, and I was just blown away, the sky changes all the time so it can change all the time, but this time was clear of clouds, and you could see the stars. The moon was bright, but you could see the bright what I would call northen lights that keptflickering and changing slight colours, and crossed over the moon which gave it a slight eclipse look. Probably hard to imagine it, but it was probably one of the most beautiful things that I have seen in a video game, if I could only find a picture online so I could put it as my laptop's wallpaper.
i'm glad it's running good for you, on top of the lag on the ps3 my extra bedroom wall in my whiterun house dissapeared, the door is still there but i can see everything behind it, also the bed is gone as well even walked in the room where the bed sat and usually if it's a graphic issue you will still hit the 3d render model, but the whole bed and wall are gone, i might try jumping over the stairs and see if i can get in the room without using the door.
my poor housecarl guard person doesn't have anywhere to sleep now, i feel bad.
i am holding out hope for a patch or fix of some kind, i need to get my save file down to 5 mbs easier said then done. i read that sleeping long enough for the game to reset itself helps so that's what i'm doing. i can't leave random crap on the ground i have to close doors after i leave the room, i keep forgeting this. the less items this game has to record the better, which means as much as glass getting knocked off a shelf to a whole dungeon with dead bodies after a recent dungeon dive, dragon fights, and this stuff can be right outside the city you are in or across the freaking map and it flips out.
the map could be changed to something more standard i wonder if that would help.
I havent had any issues at all yet on the PC version. I think the problem is console specific. main save file is at 16Mb and counting XD

oh that makes sense, yeah i keep hearing that the pc version is more stable, ps3 version is horrible with the stuttering, but if that was gone it would be a really awesome game it's kinda tragic, i'm going to stop playing it till it gets patched. i've been losing sleep because i spend almost 24 hours trying to find some fix for it i am really tempted to get the steam version, but when it comes to bethseda games and my computer there is almost no hope it will run better.
and i don't want to pay 60$ twice for this thing, i'm thinking of turning it in to gamestop and getting the pc version but if that doesn't help then 60$ isn't worth the frustration. i am in a ditch here this sucks.
i was fighting a dragon last night and he did an earthquake move that turned my high tech ps3 game into a bloody slideshow, after that the dragon glitched up big time and then fell the whole way down the mountain when he died. the worst thing about this game is the sneak control by far i always go into sneak mode when i don't want to, why does the ps controller have buttons on the analog sticks anyway, the only bad thing about the playstation controller.

This game is great, a vast improvement on Oblivion, but I think I've already broken it.
Craft about 370 iron daggers to get your smithing to 100. Buy/capture/find lots of Petty Soul gems and enchant all of these daggers with nothing. Make several hundred potions out of ingredients you can find it town. Otherwise, use nothing but your core skills (magic or weapon of choice). Now you will have tremendously powerful enchanted weapons and skills that will steamroll most opposition. It takes me about 2 power attacks to kill a giant and 4 power-attacks to kill a dragon, and most enemies, including bosses, go down in 1-2 hits. On top of that I have awesome magic resistance and stat boosts AND I never need spend money on anything but crafting materials, because my products are vastly superior to any in-game items.
Almost as easy to break as Fallout3/NV!
I know lots of you hate us min-maxers, but not doing the most optimal thing annoys me. It's like deliberately playing poorly in chess.

dang that's like the lai strike build in dissidia, you are lvl 1 and you can destroy practicaly anything, i'd like to do that but soul gems are normally hard for me to get, i can't remember to use soul trap on every enemy, i would buy them but i'm normally broke. i have nothing against overpowering your character i hate dieing with a passion.
what enchants did you use, i like enchanting but i get enchants off of a piece of armor [usually chest plate] and i can't use it on gloves, boots, or helm, do you have to actually get an enchant off of some gloves to use it on gloves? or are there specific enchants that work on the different pieces?

That is the biggest problem I have, but there are ways to help. The Duagar can be soul-trapped while they're laying there helplessly, then one-shot killed. You can get dozens of souls in a single dungeon this way. Otherwise, when approaching a single or very weak enemies just start with your soultrap spell out already, since they won't be able to kill you before you switch to a weapon.
This build fixes that, because it is much cheaper to buy soul gems and ingots than to buy produced items. Also, take EVERYTHING worth more than 10 gold per pound, this means searching every barrel and taking all the wheat and stuff. You will easily get over 1000 gold per dungeon this way.
Enchanting works for any appropriate item, for example Enhance Smithing works on gloves, boots, helmet, rings and necklace but NOT on the main armor. So each enchantment has some items it works on and others it will not.
The first enchantments to worry about are the Enhance Smithing and Enhance Alchemy ones. You should also go online and learn about the potion that produces these same effects. You can literally go back and forth between an enchanting desk and an alchemy desk, making progressively more powerful enchantments that improve your enchanting and alchemy abilities! This maxes out around 34%, and can be achieved fairly quickly if you have 100 in each.
Once you have your enhancements maxed you go Smith a Legendary item with your smithing-increasing gear, then go and put on your enchantment enhancing gear and enchant the item with the Improve One Haded Weapon damage (I forget what its called). With Max enchant, a Grand soul gem and a potion you can get this to multiply the damage of a weapon like 5 times. Do a similar thing with armor.
I am sure someone else has made a better guide on how to do this than I can type out right now (going out for drinks in a few minutes), but it's VERY effective.
EDIT: Here is a great tutorial video on the process of exploit enchanting.[youtube]http://youtu.be/6NGzyyzuxmk[/youtube]

you can soul trap the dauger while they are sleeping, i had no clue would have saved me alot of hell in dungeons if i knew that earlier. yeah when i can remember to even equip the spell i'm fine, the problem is a personal issue of mine, the longer i play a game the more i tend to rush things running into a battle without my weapon equipped and such. i kinda gotta tell myself ahead of time what i'm working toward or i just become a beserker in the game. dying doesn't help this much everytime i die in a game i lose i bit more paitance till i start swearing at the screen and whatnot. throwing controllers happens alot once my paitence is used up.
i have my dad's short temper, only not as bad as his.
finding enchanted items will be annoying, in my last game after 50+ hours i only had 8 different enchants. i don't run across enchanted crap to often.
that video is funny, "i'm dressed i have my helmet on." but other then that there is a ton of stuff i never knew about in this game i don't want to be that much of a powerhouse though, just get some decent enchantments at least. i have yet to really use it much because of my problem finding stuff to disenchant or i forget and sell it to a vender. but that is cool that he found out all that stuff and it does really work dang.
oh i think i get it you do this once you racked up all the stuff. so i guess money is the first issue to tackle.

i'm amazed how much more stable the pc version is even on my computer, i running it with extremely horrible graphics but so far no problem one crash because it has memory leak [not as bad as dragon age], and when you play it to long you get sound cutouts, not to bad i get that on my ps2 for the same reason.
i've read of 40+ issues with the game my only issue though is i was having a hard time getting it to work with my surroud sound speakers, if i can get those working it will be awesome.
i find it hard to believe for once i don't have any of the technical problems everyone else has. i'm usually the one with all the problems.
i guess i'll be grateful while it lasts.
i also love how they say that skyrim's character models don't look much better then oblivion, are they blind the people in oblivion didn't even look like people, they looked like some mutant ugly species. that was my only gripe about oblivion, even my character looked awful. lousy character generater. heck i had no idea ralof was a nord at the begining because he didn't look as ugly as they did back in oblivion. someone must have learn alot about 3d modeling the time bettween the two games cause dang that's best improvement they made.
the worse part is half the oblivion models have uneven eyes [one eye is higher then the other, same with that army guy in mothership zeta], they only time i curse my own artistic eye

Nice.
I went and joined the Stormcloaks, and I'm debating going back to an earlier save and staying neutral a bit longer.
Earlier this year, someone on this forum tried to use my love of Plants vs. Zombies to tell me I can't possibly run this game (also, I said you don't need a top line video card to make it look good), but it looks fine to me.
