I've got the rulebook in paper, but I haven't played it before (no one to play with).

It seems like a nice and fun game.

I'd probably play Eldar pirates if I had someone to play with, as their ships look visually appealing to me plus they seem more finesse based rather than your typical slugging of capital ships.

Good luck with your search for opponents; naval/space warfare gamers are hard to come by I've found. The Games Workshop shops around here in Brisbane rarely host BFG games, and the mere mention of it is somehow hearsay, and they then try to convert you to the other games (ah, no, I like space warfare people). I'd like to build an Eldar "fleet" (Corsair), and I probably will.

I'd play that, and the more complex Star Fleet Battles and Babylon 5 Wars with people if I knew any around here, but alas, the ASD thingy keeps me socially isolated. Play by e-mail just doesn't seem...right to me for a game that's meant for the tabletop.

Hence, I play Starfleet Command and a computer version of the old FASA Star Trek Tactical Simulator on the computer against the AI.
