And wants to help me become a Nintendo ambassador? By registered I mean one that's gone online. For anyone who isn't aware Nintendo have this thing going where if you can convince someone to go online with their wii, they give both the convincer and the convinced a bonus 500 nintendo spending points. I don't really know anyone with an offline Wii so uh... any takers?

My mother bought a Wii on impulse that she hardly ever uses. She also only recently got a computer so she is just about ripe for conversion. My father and stepmother have a Wii that they never use as well

They have a Wii in my local pub. As far as I can tell, they only use it for the sports games that come with the original package.

They also had a Wii at the YMCA I stayed in. If memory serves, they had Mortal Kombat and a couple of other games. I left about 18 months ago, so they may be using the Wii online already for all I know.

Potentially, that's 2000 Nintendo points in the bag. If I had a Wii myself, I would be cleaning up right now, but I don't because it's a piece of s**t  .

This sounds similar to what DirecTV did. If you recommend it to a friend and give them your DTV number (I think that's what it is) they would give your friend and you $100 each. I've never done it myself, so I'm not sure if it's a valid offer.

As for Wii, I can't connect it online with my current internet connection, but my friend borrowed it a couple of years ago, and used it online.

@ englishinvader, dayme that's a lot of unharvested points. Shame you don't own a wii I guess (they're not that bad  )

@ atomickaiju, shame to hear that, thanks for the reply anyway

@ sabbracadabra, they don't have that in america, are you sure? Coz I didn't find this out untill I checked the wii shopping channel. And it wouldn't make sense to not have it in america. Unless in US there's plenty of online users whereas in europe most sold consoles haven't been registered online or something. hmm...

I've only seen it mentioned on a European news site, and since then, haven't seen any mention of it coming to America.

I wonder how many unregistered Wii's are not hooked up to the internet and the USB and WiFi does not work?
