Missing partition on xbox 360 hardrive

My partition 2 is missing on my hdd (i know, serves me right for buying a cheap hdd) preventing me from emulating xbox 1 games among other things I know if i get hold of an official 360 hardrive i can just backup the partition from that and then restore it to my hdd and that will work fine but i might not be able to get hold of one till after Xmas sometime.

What im wondering is if anyone here knows if there's a way to create the partition myself?

You may be able to download what you need right from the xbox site through the xbaox and it will install.

Unfortunately not, they don't support people accessing their hdd in this way probably so that they don't get stuck fixing hardrives that people messed up themselves.

i can get the emulator from the xbox site but i already have that on a disc some where and that's not the problem.

Never mind ppl, the question is now redundant as Ive got someone to bring their hdd round later this week
