Do you have a favorite of the three games?

I remember I got the first game in 2000, I were extremely excited to get to play it on my birthday, and it proved to be my favorite multiplayer game on the system.

I didn't get the second game until I was 13-14, and it proved to be way better.

I'm waiting to get my third game now, I'll probably get it around christmas, but I've played it at a neighbour's house, and it may be the best multiplayer/party game of all time, it defines an incredible game.

Brawl (the third game) is the best. Biggest character line-up, greatest amount of game modes and rewards, online play...

I like the Wii version best. It has online multiplayer, and the adventure mode is easily 10x better than the very short one in the Gamecube version.

I think the first Super Smash Bros. is going to be in the Wii Shop soon. I wonder if it will ever have any N64 games available that aren't published by Nintendo?

I prefer Brawl over the other two as well.

I like all of them, but I think I'd have to say that Melee is my favorite.
At first I didn't really like smash ball thing in Brawl because it just seemed unnecessary, but I don't mind it so much now. I like Jigglypuff's final smash attack. I don't know why, but I just find it hilarious.
People do tend to get obsessive about these games though, and want to do nothing but play for hours and hours at a time, though I guess I've been guilty of that as well.

My first experience with the Super Smash Bros. series was in Melee. I enjoyed it and it took up many hours of my time because it was so playable, but it died out for me after a couple of years.

It is because of the release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl that I wanted a Wii for Christmas last year.
IMO, Super Smash Bros. Brawl defines the Nintendo Wii, and it is one of the best games that any Wii owner will ever have.
The 35 playable characters, and the wide, versatile list of stages, along with tons of items, powerful Pokemon and creative Assist Trophies make this game an instant classic that I still play religiously, even to this day.

Sorry for rambling, but I just love the game. =]

Brawl. For many of the reasons listed above. Plus I love charging my A button attacks to send the other guy flying.

Those would be called "smash attacks", my friend. ;)

I've played all three and I think melee is my favourite. Most of the Brawl characters just seem unneccessary, and I don't like that smash ball either. I have't played much Brawl though, so maybe I'd like it more if I played it more. they're all good games though.

The original Nintendo 64 game is now in the Wii shop for 1000 points.

I like Brawl the best, though I agree that the super smashes are just stupid. It turns the game into "who can get the smash ball?" My friends and I just turn them off. Most of my favorites happen to be Brawl only guys, Olimar, R.O.B., and Meta Knight.

I love Brawl, but I sold it to get more Sonic games, even though Sonic is in it. I have the Blaze trophy from that game as an image on my web browser and the background on my mp3 player.

Anyway, my little cousin's kids got made at me I sold it, lol.

Brawl is my favorite! I usually play as Pit or Marth the most, since they are my favorites! Is anybody else here a fan of them, or is it just me?

Pit is the fighter I like the best since Kid Icarus is my favorite NES game. I like how he can fall down the entire length of the screen then fly back up to safety.

I like the series, when I was a kid, the game I wanted most was Super Smash Bros. Probably Brawl is the best, though unlike other here I quite like the Smash ball, I think it adds another level of strategy, with diferent character's specials.

I could probably go on a large list of different strategies of how to play, one of my favirout is acting weak and when they let their guard down, I go strong.

I enjoy a lot of the characters, at first I mostly used Pit, but then I found it fun chalenging myself to learn to use others, and doing this usualy puts me above my brother who I learn to predict. My favirouts are; Wolf for having fluid movements, yet heavy moves, Snake for being a bit unpredictible, people don't expect Peach to be tough and Zelda is fun.
