I used to own that game a few years ago before trading it in. The only advice I can give you is to stock up with powerful monsters, devastating magic cards, and to memorize all of the monster fusions you can do.

I have this game. I agree that its really tough. The computer knows your cards, I think. Because he always does the exact thing to counter your moves.

Not to be overly biased, but switch to Magic: The Gathering. Yu-gi-oh came from a TV series that has no real world applications and only works in the series. Unless you're willing to shell out several 100s of dollars to make a deck tournament worthy, id keep it at arm's length. At least with Magic, the smallest creatures and most common cards are often the most lethal. And yes, Ive played YGO but it lacked a kind of balance that i found in Magic . . . even built a kind of Dragon deck from the series that had Red Eyes Darkness. Tried it once and it failed horribly against a tournament style deck from an acquaintance of mine. Admittedly, i even tried a few tournaments with this game, but it was still a lackluster sensation. Try magic . . . you may find it more . . . entertaining.

We're talking about a video game, not the card game.
