Looks mildly entertaining, but I don't think that really counts as a fourth dimension, given the way it is depicted. It functions more like 3d layering. If you actually pushed the ring into the fourth dimension, you wouldn't be able to see it. You'd just stumble around blindly until you get it right. Eventually you would see some patterns, but still.

No, it's really a four dimensions environment, but divised in 3D layers. If your attentive and take the time to think about it, while the ring is deplaced it disapear from one of the 3D layer to appear in another. From the perspective of the initial layer, as 3D spatial beings, we will see the ring disapear and magically reappear elsewhere after a while.

I heard about that game a few weeks ago when xkcd mentioned it and I've been following the blog waiting for more news. It looks so interesting, I can't wait to play it.
