I absolutely love Yahtzee, despite his hate for (almost everything really) Halo. Anyone watch it? Just google Yahtzee and its the first search option. Be warned, he uses strong language so I'd rate him 15+ yo.

I like his reviews because they are generally quite insightful.
And quite enjoyable to watch as well.

He's great. "And when I say this game is special, I mean it like 'I'm sorry my son is eating your shoes, he's a little bit special.' "

My favorite line would be from the Mass Effect 2 review, referring to resource mining:

"It's exactly as exciting as it sounds, and it sounds like this: bleaaaaaaauuuurgh..." (with the stick figure slumped backwards on a chair."

Hmm I've never heard of him I seems it deserves at least watching 1 episode but I was gonna say Total Biscuit.

I love how he pulls out Gems that have gotten passed by the majority and shows us what we've missed in the hype of more popular titles.

I like his reviews mainly because they're entertaining. I wouldn't base any of my purchases on his recommendations though, seeing as the only games he's ever wholeheartedly recommended to my memory have been Psychonauts, Portal and Fantasy World Dizzy.

Yahtzee's great! I watch his videos whenever I think of them and recommend them to everyone whenever I get the chance. This thread reminded me to go check out what's new and I watched the Heavy Rain video and the 2009 Awards. His reviews are so entertaining that I watch all of them even for games I've never heard of or am unlikely to ever play.

Since it's been mentioned, I must say that Psychonauts is indeed a great game! I think I might have heard about it from him because I can't think of where else I would have found it. Anyway, I played it about 3/4 through and then the game stopped working for some reason so I haven't finished it but hopefully I will someday because it was really fun.

I would love to get into Yahtzee, but he talks so fast, I can't understand half the things he says =/

I like his reviews and his comedy.

While his reviews are certainly not a basis on a game not being fun or otherwise, and even with how extreme he can be, there is one thing though: he is right. Usually. He makes good points on what developers should and should not be doing. I appreciate that he points out the flaws in every game he plays, even the ones he likes. As a picky gamer, those things are important to me.

It disappoints me though, as critical as Yahtzee is, he rarely focuses on gaming controls. I find that this area only gets worse with newer games. Controls are very important, and users should be able to define them as they please rather than get stuck with limiting presets or sometimes not even an option to change analog functionality (like using southpaw!). Again, as a picky gamer, controls are important to me as well. I can't even play Fallout 3 on console because I can't get Southpaw. Other games I can but struggle to play due to their bad control presets. I never used to have this problem, back when I could just define button by button what I wanted. I would feel terribly ripped off if I had spent money newer consoles and games because of this.
