I like his reviews and his comedy.
While his reviews are certainly not a basis on a game not being fun or otherwise, and even with how extreme he can be, there is one thing though: he is right. Usually. He makes good points on what developers should and should not be doing. I appreciate that he points out the flaws in every game he plays, even the ones he likes. As a picky gamer, those things are important to me.
It disappoints me though, as critical as Yahtzee is, he rarely focuses on gaming controls. I find that this area only gets worse with newer games. Controls are very important, and users should be able to define them as they please rather than get stuck with limiting presets or sometimes not even an option to change analog functionality (like using southpaw!). Again, as a picky gamer, controls are important to me as well. I can't even play Fallout 3 on console because I can't get Southpaw. Other games I can but struggle to play due to their bad control presets. I never used to have this problem, back when I could just define button by button what I wanted. I would feel terribly ripped off if I had spent money newer consoles and games because of this.
