At the end of The Force Unleashed, Galen Marek, also known as Starkiller, sacrficed his life to make sure Senators Mon Mothma, Garm Bel Iblis, Bail Organa, and his master, Rahm Kota could escape, and in doing so he became a martyr. In honor of his sacrifice, the newly founded Rebel Legion honored hom by using his family coat of arms as the insignia for the Rebel Alliance(The Alliance to Restore The Republic). That was the end of the sith turned Jedi... sort of.
According to gamepro and the french gaming magazine consoles plus, Galen Marek does die. The character in TFU2 is his clone.
Vader still wants to have Galen as an apprentice, as he was more powerful than Vader himself and almost bested the Emperor. So, Vader secretily has him cloned on Kamino. Unfortunately, he retains some of the template's memories. He breaks free, seeking a woman named Juno Eclipse, the woman he loved in another life, a woman who's since moved on with her life...
The game is coming out in October of this year. Other than what was shown at the VGA's in december, there have been screens and the website has given hints at locations from the game. The confirmed planets as of yet are Kamino, Cato Neimoidia(my favorite planet from the movies, and the planet where my favorite character, Plo Koon, dies), and Dagobah. Yoda will appear in the game supposedly, probably as a mentor. Rahm Kota will return and will assist Galen with regaining lost memories and finding Juno.

On the page, there are interactive pussles that you can bring up and solve to see fragments of Galen's memories as well as hear audio snippets from the second game.
