Just thought I'd let you all now. I can't just relax... even the old one from '97 makes me uncomfortable.

Reminds me that I am also bad at survivor shooter horrors, I still have not beaten Doom 3, even with invincerbility I am too scared. So I have tried to get over the fear, I played Resident Evil 5 and got though I hear that it is not that scary. I also got through Bioshock 1 by following a guide a picture guide, and attempted Dead Space, I even often feel tempted at skipping the Flood levels of Halo games which is one of my favourite series.

It is much funner being the monster and ambushing the normal people.

I did not start playing the original Resident Evil games because of the fixed camera angles. I was more comfortable in see in the third person. That changed when RE4 allowed that to happen and I was much more comfortable playing the series that way.

All time favorite is the Silent Hill series though, the remake, Shattered Memories is really good.

It's one of the reasons I never played it, because it's scary.

So I'm assuming you play versus mode on Left 4 Dead 1 and/or 2? :)

I would like to, but I havent really had live in a while. Strangely I don't get as scared in L4D, I think mostly because I use team mates as my cover as I bring certain enemies out, though I do tend to panic a lot a Tank is comeing from an unkown direction, or too close to a pissed off Witch. I actually prefer to try and take the Witch out first, becaue I get too anxious being too close to them.

Games I have liked along those line is The Darkness, Arkham Asylum, and Alien vs Predator was good especially in Alien campaign though Predator was good when stealth was an option. I even liked Bioshock 2 because even though there were horrors out there, most of the time I was the hulking monster cutting down the enemy and makeing the ground shake by just jumping, though the Spiders still freaked me out and before Big Sister I had to view all the suroundings and prepare plans.

I've heard of dead space. It's freaky, man. Like Event Horizon.

My question was in sarcastic form (which doesn't translate well in text form i know), I've played dead space, and while a very good game, it wasn't scary. and like event horizon ? it basically was event horizon, look at Isaac's helmet and tell me it doesn't look like the front of the event horizon itself.
that game was about as scary as those lame gorey hack'n'slash movies that Hollywood has been pumping out in the last couple of years.

hopefully the sequel will bring on the terror.

What do you consider scary?
