Might try the second one later, trying the first one now cause it looks hilarious
Ah I take it you've been looking at the pictures in the game. They had rubber welly boots in dark ages finland you know.
Both of those games have steep learning curve's be warned. Aurora's learning curve is great big steep cliff. I've been playing 5 months and im still learning new things and new ways of doing things. As for Unreal world...well your gonna die in some quite undignifying ways several times before you get the hang of things. I'll give you some advice for starting off.
Unreal World
Start a new game in spring when you develop a new character you want to be a member of the Kaumolaiset tribe/culture. This gives you a well rounded variety of skills and you tend to be quite physically strong as well. The game has a structured mission based system to help newbies learn the interface and get to use all the skills out there. After that expect to do a lot of dying till you get to know the layout of the land
Aurora
Read the tutorials on the forum and the FAQ's. This is a complex 4x game with a lot of freedom to grow and develop how you like. I personally love it. But be prepared graphically speaking its basically a glorified spreadsheet in terms of looks.
Get stuck? Post on the forum. The person who created this game updates it fairly regularly so its very difficult to keep an accurate and up to date document on all the features. For example, the most recent addition to the game was a new technology field to genetically engineer a new species adapted for differnt atmospheric conditions, gravity and tempretures.
The next update will contain orbital habitats that can be built over worlds that require long term terraforming or are too hostile and costly to inhabit with a ground based colony.
