I need help getting a game system. my xbox broke red ring of death Now i'm wondering if i should get my 360 fixed, or if i should just forget it and get a PS3. help me out guys

Did you check online for warrenty? I got ring of death, went online, they said it was out of the one year warrenty but for RoD only it was extended to three years so was covered. It had been purchased over three years previously too.
I sent it away and got what I think is a replacement very quickly and for free. I'd accidently left a disk in the drive too and got that back too, when I'd have thought I wouldn't since they categoricaly state not to leave anything inside.

Very efficient service so I'd try that if it's free or cost effective enough. I much prefer Xbox to PS anyway!

It seems like you may be ready to move on. The PS3 has its differences from the xbox. Namely functionality and obviously some exclusive games. What exactly are you looking for in a game system? Have you ever had Sony before? As the previous poster also mentioned check the state of your warranty or at the very least give microsoft a call and see how much you'll have to pay if any coverage has expired.

I am on an Xbox, PS3's were £400 at the time!! Also all my friends are on Xbox, but in hardware, PS3's are better. But I'll have to stick with my flawed Xbox

well, i know a guy who will buy the broken xboix from me. honestly, its been pissing me off lately. the eject button broke and it destroyed my copy of batman arkham asylum. i don't really use live that much, and i have only played:

batman arkham asylyum
mk vs dcu
madden nfl '08
dragon ball z burst limit
naruto rise of a ninja
bad company
some lotr game

honestly, i could sell the 360 and get a ps3. i could finally get joker on AA. plus my brother really wants one

Another thread just like this one was made a few days ago, most people said the PS3 is better. Search and you shall find.

Both my brother and I had Xbox 360s and had problems with them (him twice). We both now have PS3s and don't regret it at all. As much as I hate console wars, in terms of hardware reliability I think it's pretty clear that the PS3 is better. The amount of people who have had problems with their Xboxes is just ridiculous.

Get the new Xbox 360. I don't think the PS3 has as many good exclusives as the Xbox 360. If you play online, that's another reason to not switch to the PS3.
