Oh, monophonic substitution ciphers! Easy to solve. I remember writing a piece of code that could analyse the structure of the encoded words in such simple ciphers that broke em - without - statistical analysis methods.

Btw, here is a good answer key to most (english language) ciphers: ETAONRIS (the 8 most frequently used letters, listed left to right in order of magnitude.


EDIT: One side note; given the times on that site, i wonder how fast people would solve the cryptograms if they did not know the quotes, or the hint given above i.e. "Aristotle".
