For my birthday my sister had gotten me the Wii version of the game 007 Quantum of Solace and today I have been playing it. Initially the game was extremely difficult due to not knowing the controls, but after a couple of hours playing for today I think I'm reasonably proficient now. However, there is one persistent annoyance related to the design of the Wii: the method of turning. In order to turn, you have to point the Wii remote to the side that you wish to turn. So, when you wish to spin around faster than a default rate the tendency that I keep needing to overcome is the tendency to point further to the edge. If I point too far to one side, then the infrared sensors do not detect the infrared signal associated with aiming - so when I have wished to turn quickly I instead have stopped turning completely. Perhaps with more practice I can accommodate myself to the existing system better, however this is still an issue of counter-intuitiveness that is somewhat bothersome during the middle of firefights.

Aside from that annoyance in not being able to turn quickly, the game itself seems quite reminiscent of when I used to play 007 Goldeneye on the N64, and as such I like that aspect of it fairly well. Additionally, it is also highly similar to Mission Impossible for the N64 - except it's FPS instead of TPS and the graphics are much better just due to advancements in technology being utilized. Overall I think Quantum of Solace is a fun game.
