- MechWarrior -

Any body know anything about this? When it is coming out and all.
I'm thinking about making my own games and ect website. and this is what I got...

Mech Warrior 5
My god where do I start??! !!

 MechWarrior - 1989
 MechWarrior 2 - 1995
 MechWarrior 3 - 1999
 MechWarrior 4 - 2000/2001
 Mechwarrior 5 - Unknown

As you can see by my little timeline, Mechwarrior is not new to the world being a 21 year old game. Now trust me when I say that this is going to be a big game; The "Mechwarrior 5" game has actually been in the making for over 2 years now!

For this new game Piranha Games is working with Jordan Weismann(creator of the BattleTech universe), To re-create but re-design a whole new Mechwarrior game similar but completly different to the origionals.

“There are ambitious plans for this new MechWarrior”, says Russ Bullock(President of Piranha Games).

“We want to capture the sense that you're piloting a giant, walking war machine in the middle of an incredibly dynamic battlefield”.

MechWarior 5 (AKA: MechWarrior) will be avaliable on PC and Xbox360 when released.

Much looking forward to this. Not enough mecha games out there and Starsiege 2845 was canceled.

There were some legal issues with mechwarrior 5 development that have delayed it somewhat I've been looking forward to this myself but it appears to be heading into vapourware territory at the moment.

The Mechwarrior mod for crisis is coming along quite nicely in the mean time if you fancy a mecha fix.

What I'd really like at some point is a 4x strategy game based in the battletech universe that would be the most awesome game ever Combined with a combat mission style turn based tactical mode for both ground based combat and space based engagements, preferably set during the succession wars timeline.

Since the legal trouble with Harmony Gold. I lost all hope with MW Reboot.

THe legal issue was over some of the Mech designs (apparently, the artist behind some of them shared sketches with the Robotech series), so the franchise has been bought, sold, and repurchased as a result. Let's just say im glad it's making a comeback, and MW 5 will be based on the Succession Wars (I think theyre calling it Mechwarrior 3015). Needless to say, im quite giddy about piloting the Warhammer.

Saw that preview for MW5 a while ago now. Sincerely hope it comes to pass. MW2, in my opinion, was one of the best made games of its time. MW1 was not bad either. I remember MW3 being very buggy and MW4 was fun, especially the multiplayer, but really enjoyed MW2 the most of all of them.

I have that sound file as the startup music for my computer :)

I loved the Mechwarrior 2 and 3 games. Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries was my absolute favorite though.
