I'm currently downloading the update I need to play the very much awaited Battlefield Bad Company 2: Vietnam expansion on Xbox 360. But it's taking forever!! Is anyone else doing this, and if so is it taking forever too?

It probably depends on how fast your internet is running. I installed the updates for BFBC2 (On my PS3) about 2 weeks ago and it took over an hour and the updates totaled around 2.5GB on my hard drive. I don't know if the update was included then or if there's even more content to update... but those updates are huge for BFBC2 so I'm guessing it's just all around time consuming... especially if you are downloading them from the beginning :(

Is it really worth crying over? Really, considering the time of year use the free time to do something other than gaming, such as spending time with people you care about.

Hey, I was waiting many months for this, and I wasn't crying over it, just doing a pointless post like I do from time to time. I also spent hours with my family this evening instead of playing it.

So is this Vietnam Expansion of BFBC2 "ideally" almost the same as the pc version of Battlefield Vietnam from all those years ago. (Besides the updated graphics and physics engine of course)

Well in the trailers for BFBC2 Vietnam they had the same sounds from that game. So would not surpise me if EA just used the same stuff.

Id still probably end up playing the original over it. Graphics don't make the game IMO. But as far as opinions go... yeah...

From what I've seen, the levels aren't remakes of the pc version(which is superior). It's just BFBC2 with Vietnam levels and Vietcong that look like metrosexual post-apocalyptic ninjas. One of these days, I'm gonna hijack the xbox while my bro goes outside and troll people online with my alternate persona, the time-traveling Vietnamese journalist Quoc Tran.

So you aren't going to use the last name Nguyen at all?

After Nguyen(pronounced Win or Nwin depending on regional accent), Tran(tr in Vietnamese is basically a ch) is the most common Vietnamese surname. After that, it's Le. Quoc Tran was just a name I came up with after my short-lived obsession with the Vietnamese language that happens to mean stability of nation. A lot of people at school call me this, so I'm used to being addressed by it. I also from time to time call myself Mr. Nguyen when I go onto camera chat sites to plea for funds to rebuild Vietnam after a devastating attack by the Red Dragon. However, I'm not used to being called that.

How many people are still playing Battlefield Vietnam though? I should know because I'm still playing 42 with its expansion packs and there's only about a thousand of us left.
