Yes, after 2 years of waiting the battlefield 2142 1.51 patch will finally be released. The patch is actually already released so we are just waiting for the servers to update. Should be ready next week.

This v1.51 update contains:
No DRM on the BF2142.exe file (no need to have CD in drive for it to work)
Northern Strike free for everyone
3 new maps including Strike at Karkand 2142 and Operation Blue Pearl.
Account security updates
Air transport gun fixed

About damn time. I've been waiting for a reason to get back into 2142. Of course, most people have still moved on to Bad Company 2 (not that that's a bad thing- I play it myself).

Well, it's finally been released after a few problems with the beta.

Install in this order...

1. Install 2142 (all versions)
5. Install 1.50 patch
6. Install 1.51 patch
