Well lets see: Master Cheief is around 7 feets tall, has bones as harder than steel, chosen due to genetic perfection, was kidnapped at the age of six for extreme military training, once killed a special forces soldier as a teenager by accidently punching too hard, and wears armour that strength and speed enhancements alone can cause a normal person to crush their own bones due to inability to control reflexes. And can survive falling from orbit

Well Shepard did headbut a Krogan once.

Hey he didn't really fell from orbit, it was just 2 kilometers, and he ridded a Forerunner airlock door that he used as a shield, so it doesn't really count.

Noble 6 DID fall from orbit though, he just walked it off and lost a few health bars.

To be fair, Noble Six also used some sort of freefall rescue pack, designed to let a Spartan survive dropping from orbit.

OTOH, Shepard got his ship blown up around him, his suit was holed, and he fell from orbit to the surface of an ice-world without any special prep - and he got better. ("The Collectors killed you once, all it did was piss you off. I can't imagine they'll stop you now.")

I like both of them a lot... But I think Shepard would win. The tech in the ME is far more advanced than what Humans in Halo have. The MC has never encountered biotic powers as well. Even though MC is very tall and incredibly strong, Shepard has faced those odds before when he killed the Shadow Broker, who was a Yahg, which is like 12 feet tall, incredibly strong (probably as strong or stronger than a Hunter) and also very cunning

Master Chief. He's been in the universe-saving business since 2001. Having said that, he has been retired for nearly 4 years now. Or a couple of years if you count the novels, maybe.

Hard to say without pinning down what Shep can and cannot. Being extensively customisable and all.

Going pure Biotic, Shep eventually rivals Liara in usage of mass effect fields. And Biotics generally do like big targets.

Commander Sheppard of Stargate Alantis could probably dispatch Halo's Master Cheif, however Master Cheif could probably dispatch Mass Effect's Commander Shepard.
