Frist It seems like alot of people here play Games that i have never heard of....
Sonic the hegehog is ok with me but Shadow the hegehog for ps2 is so much better
Becuase of the vehicles, weapons and powers...
However I want to know if any of you play games such as...

Tony Hawks Pro skater or underground
Crash bandicoot (any of them
Army men (any of them
The sims (any of them)
Need for speed or midnight club (the kind that let you customize your cars)
Dragon ball Z (Actually i like the most recent ps2 versions... Can't really spell the name... it's partly in japenese)
Or my current favorites...
Twisted metal (any of them)
Oh... anyone like Transformers? the games or the toys? this includes anything from the entire history of the products...

Non-fantasy rpg's and historic strategy games (total war)...

But basically, I'll play any genre if I like the subject matter...

Last 3 games I played for any length of time: Rome: Total War, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Fallout: New Vegas.

My main genres are puzzles, fighters, horror survival and RPGs.

SUPER STREET FIGHTER IV!
I love Street Fighter, so fighting games are my fist pick, then FPS's, then Action-Adventure.

I favore collect with get to the end and kill the big bad villain, even if him getting there was the faults of my people.... and definatly the men. I love leather and/or cloth robe wearing males quite a bit.

no offense to you I just never heard of that could you explain?

Aslo I have nothing against books... I read books(but not often). if i didn't I would not want to write a book.

seems like alot of people like roleplaying games,,, I like RPG games but don't you think they get... frustrating
and more time consumig? guess it depends what you have time for.... and the patience.
I have the time so I play RPG games but my patience sotmtimes makes it harder.
It made me give up pokemon when i erased my data.

Visual Novels are dynamic digital story. Where, there is a main theme; and throughout the story you are given choices to influence the outcome of the plot (either good/bad ending; or just different possible good endings). The game makers will have pictures to associate with events in the story, and some even have voice acting for the characters lines in the story. Some, may try and add RPG leveling up dynamics to the story.

The best example would be Fate/Stay Night: Probably the best introductory visual novel game. (though you need to english patch it with the fan-translation patch to play it in english; nobody has officially published it yet)

They have existed for a while; but recently have been building up fame in the US/England. There are two major English publishers right now. Mangagamer.com and jastusa.com/shop/.

Ignore Jastusa.com though, it only has mostly dating simulation games which are not visual novels. (there is no story in a dating sim game; it is a life simulation game).

Mangagamer has the "Higurashi When They Cry" which is pretty popular right now.

RPGs, preferably in fantasy settings. Single-player.
Only ones where I can create my own character...and it must be possible to create one that looks good to me...which limits a lot.
