What are your thgouhts on people who gloat in games

I think it serisouly is annoying. Any good games out there where gamers dont do that. Time Zones?
I have a PS3 and PC. I like RDR, DND Dagger Dale, L4D, Elder Scrolls, XBlades.
What ever happend to some of the best older games on PS, PS2? Why havent some of them been redone for PS3? : Im talking about games like Astroboy(not the movie one but the anime) Frogger, TY, Sly Cooper( I think this is a PS3 one as well but I dont have the PS3 eye),Vexx?
Are there any other games like these(besides Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter) on PS3? I play more games, but Im kinda sad that the PS3 has changed so much...Mainly all shooters(Some I like L4D, RDR, Bioshock)?

which games have less of those kinds of people?
Sometimes I wish whoever came up with online chatting/games(besides most mmos) shouldnt have done that.

It seems to be worst in people who play against other players rather than against the computer - I play World of Warcraft and the gloating seems worst from the people who duel and things, less so from people who group up against the computer.

I mostly just try and ignore that aspect, but do find it annoying. The anonymity of the internet seems to bring out the worst in a lot of people, I'm not sure there is any way to get away from it completely whilst still playing games that involve other people. The best option is probably to play a game where you can join a guild, if you find the right one people like that won't be allowed to stay in the guild and you can have a better environment.

I target them for trolling and griefing. You get the best reactions out of gloaters. :3

Also I forgot to ask, are there any older(not like Atari games or any system that old though I do like Atari but) Older Ps2 games on Ps3? It seems like its all about FPS/TPS now....
I think I posted about Sly, Ty, Astroboy(why didnt they remake the anime game on ps3?) Vexx, Frogger, Konker, and that LBP, LBP2(I think both are ok, but I prefer the older ones). It seems the PS2 had it all(Dont get me wrong I like some PS3 games, it just seems that they had more to offer and better games that I like see above).
FF(havent played much sadly rented), XBlades, DragonAge 2, RDR, Warhawk as well, Bioshock(rented) and one of my favorites Elder Scrolls Oblivion(one of the only ps3 games that makes me feel well like the Ps2 games makes me feel). Those are my only Ps3 games I like/play with.
RDR/Warhawk cause its fun old west,(awesome graphics/storyline) and has zombies in it, but soem of the players not so much. Screaming little kids, or everything is f this or that or they so arrogant, and gang up on me and say get back to kitchen u suck! When I dont, its just that I cant take on all 10 posse members at once...
Any fellow Aussies/Aspies play Rdr or on Ps3/steam, would like to play with me? ( steam games :vwhich I play DND, L4D, L4D2 on and few others, not as bad so far with people)?

My opinion on people who gloat, from my own experience, is that those people have severe insecurity issues that they feed by insulting other players. I have seen some people in my guild on Facebook and some of them are gloaters, and the gloaters are always the ones with the insecurities running rampant. I honestly, legitimately feel bad for these people in the regard that their form of self help is by putting down others.

i trash talk the npcs and bosses in games alot if that counts, i don't play online on a console game.

Killzone 3 doesn't have many gloaters at all. And the only ones who will gloat are your own teammates who tend to trash-talk the other team (no multiplayer types in Killzone 3 are free-for-all matches, only teams). Plus the only other people you are able to hear are your own teammates. If you want to avoid gloating by other gamers, definately don't play Black Ops.

I'm a bit of a hypocrite regarding this. I might gloat sportingly if I beat someone, but if they do the same I get pissed off. >_> But I don't play online very much, that's just saying how it is with my friends.
