Is it just me or do several of the big time poker players seem to be Aspies? I.E. Howard Lederer. He has never had and still doesn't have social skills; was a chess prodigy at a young age; and has the nickname the "Professor". My dad met him and said he acts like I do! (my dad went on the Party Poker Million cruise last year)

it wouldn't suprise me if howard lederer were an aspie. i think poker is a game aspies can excel in. we have permanent poker faces (at least i do). i look the same whether i have good or bad cards when i play. people usually have a hard time telling whether i am bluffing or not.

Me too! And my weird fidgeting has nothing to do with cards, so I could have pocket aces and still be twirling away.

I guess I'll dredge up another old topic, but I wanted to say that I was a full-time professional for a while and I still excel at the game. Some of the very best are thought to have Asperger's:
