Why is it that these games change so much from 2-3?
I loved Halo 2 (still play it almost every day) and I find, that it's simplicity makes it fun
Halo 3 just got too over-the-top.
Same with Diablo.
Diablo II Lord of Destruction was fantastic for it's simplicity. I could spend HOURS (and did) exploring the maps and killing big stinky critters.
Now they're trying to make it a W.O.W. game and it lost it's appeal to me.
I like my realities separated. I can use my imagination to "become" the character in the game. When they fill in all the gaps for me, I feel robbed!! !

Uhm, they didn`t make Diablo 3 much harder. maybe it seems they made it harder because you where young when you played Diablo2 and thus missed the depth?

I didn't say it's harder, I just don't care for the new formatting. It leaves NOTHING to the imagination...and is therefor too EASY

Hey, I know what you mean. But it just might be a matter of nostalgia.. +being young really, really matters. I really liked wow at some point. And it's certainly not about 2d/3d. I suggest giving D3 a shot once it comes out; without any prejudice (as if that was possible :D b/c I prolly won't)

D3 is gonna be awesome though, i mean yea they bring back the old classic from D2 of Barbarian, but the classes they are coming out with sound really awesome, Especially the monk class, finally they bring a hand to hand combat class to Blizzard, i mean i know they are doing that too finally with Mist of Pandaria (can't wait to make a Pandaren Monk or Pandaren anything), but still, Monk, Wizard (rogue sorc), Witch Doctor (somewhat Necro), and Demon Hunter (new Zon?) are great additions to the Diablo class family/lore.

I love diablo 2, never played diablo one, and I wanted to see d3 rather badly, but the fact that it has taken so long even AFTER it got annouced kinda made me loose interest. D2 forever tho!
