I heard that in this mission you must decide who will be my ally.

I do not know who to choose, I heard that I can reach a compromise, but i don't knew that is available in my case, Tali is an exile, i decided to rewrite heretic Geth and destroy Colector base.
I also have almost maximum Paragon points, but i forced to choice.

Whom would you choose if you had to choose.

^^ Greetings pawelk1986. I believe that I was very lucky as I was blessed with the ability to ally with both sides. However if this was not possible for me then I believe that I may ally with the Geth. Although the Quarian race is very lovely, I feel that the Geth are peaceful and did not wish to enter war with the Quarians.

^^ However since you have very nearly maximum Paragon points pawelk1986, perhaps you also be able to save both sides.

I am very sorry if this is not very helpful of me.

(If you wish, I would be very happy to send you a private message informing you of how I allied with both sides, however I believe that this shall contain spoilers).

I chose the quarians, before I re rolled and chose both. There's not much of a difference in outcome as far as battle readiness is concerned. (I've heard geth offer a tiny bit more of forces) I just couldn't betray tali like that, since we go way back. Your decision won't count for paragon nor renegade points. It's all a matter of personal preference. Good Luck, plus remember you can always play the game(s) over and check out the differences. Have you played all 3 or just the 3rd?

I played Mass Effect 2 i liked it so i decided to buy 3rd

Unfortunately I was forced to make the uneasy choice. In Mass Effect 2 i decided to don't reveal Tali secret about her Father, now i regret that decision. O rewrite heretics in MF 2 and destroyed collector base. I have almost maximum pargon if i do right decisions in MF 2 i could reach compromise between Quarian and Geth

I decided to support Geth because i heard that they offer more war assets than Quarian,, now have a moral hangover }- yet it is just a game, very good game. People from BioWare doing is really a masterly

I try to gain as many war assets as I can. First i supported Quarain they get my 500 war assets later i reloaded save and suported Geth they give me 800 war assets, that settled the issue.

It doesn't matter because the battle readiness doesn't really have a major effect on the ending apart from a few changes in dialogue.

I like Quarians more.

You'll reach endgame anyway, so go with your instincts.

I saved both sides, apart from being a pure paragon game the Quarians and Geth were among my favourites so I was not going to betray either side, it looked pretty scary that I would not be able to stop it, but that final paragon choice felt so good. If I really had to choose I would probably pick the Quarians only to save the children innocents that would die otherwise, though I would still consider the Geth the more innocent party and I Geth would have a stronger force.

I chose the Geth's side for the paragon points. When I did the Geth and Quarians became peaceful and the Geth even helped them move bac to the homeworld. I didn't even trust the Geth that much because even though they weren't treated nicely by the Quarians they kept on siding with the Reapers.

Well, technically, it was only a small fraction of the geth who chose to go with the Old Machines - that's why Legion referred to them as "heretics". The geth you find at Rannoch are being controlled by a Reaper on the scene - part of the mission involves clearing the Reaper infestation from the geth processing hub, so they can make their own decisions again. And if you pay attention during the memory sequences, you'll see that not all the quarians were in favor of what was done to the geth back in the day, and that the geth remember this. Once freed of Reaper control, they'll be more than happy to ally with the quarians - provided you can make the quarians stop shooting at them (to quote Hobbes the tiger, "It's hard to coexist peacefully with things that want to kill you").

That's one of the things that ticks me off about the ending - the Ghost in the Machine insists that there's no possible way that organic and synthetic can possibly live together in peace, even if you left the quarians and geth doing exactly that on Rannoch!

I would pick the Geth. The scene for picking the Quarians is pretty much the saddest one in the game, not that the Geth one is cheerful.

Why choose? You can get both by siding with Legion and then making peace between them. I think you need to have enough of either Paragon or Renegade points to do that though.

It isn't just an issue of having paragon or renegade points, it depends on what you did in ME2. According to this, you have to have either destroyed the renegade Geth or saved Tali's position in the fleet (it can be done without betraying her) and resolved her dispute with Legion, or done both in ME2 plus various things in ME3 to get the option. He'll have to replay ME2 to get that outcome or watch it on youtube.

True, if you saved Tali's position in the Fleet in ME2 by using your Paragon score to call the Admiralty on their bull, you have Admiral Tali'Zorah backing your call for a cease-fire with the geth fleet, which has to help...

So, I will have to choose between Tali'Zorah and Legion at some point? That would be a difficult choice, if I were not stupid enough to get Legion killed in ME2's Suicide Mission. And I got Mordin killed, too. Two of my favorite characters will not appear on Mass Effect. And I am very pissed.

The choice comes up whether you saved Legion or not. The difference is that Legion is swapped out for a "generic Geth" which, because the designers were incredibly lazy, looks EXACTLY like him (unless there were two Geth's with N7 armor embedded in their chests.) Also I'm not sure if Tali says the same thing if the Geth is generic (she might though).

I mean, the Krogan you see if you didn't save Grunt doesn't look like him, why couldn't they come up with another Geth? they already have the character models and it isn't like people would say "why do the Geth look the same?"
