there is no standard benchmark

the easiest way is to use grading software like 3dmark, it can test to a much higher standard than any game in existence, but even then you can only really compare it to scores from the same grading program.
some of them cant exhaustively check cu performance so amny use various programs called burn in tests, usually they let you calculate pi or something similar to an arbitrarily high number, again you can only compare tests from the same program and bit lenht.

I would first compare the specs of you're PC with those of the recommended requirements of Battlefield, as that is the most demanding to see if you're PC is capable of running it. If not I wouldn't advise upgrading to meet the requirements of a single game. Unless you have a few games in mind that could benefit from it.
