Oh but of course we are. In Battlefield Vietnam I was the terror in the sky, mostly with helicopters. BF2 was harder in the sky, but still relativly easy. Never tried BF3, but I would guess it is even harder in the sky, don't think it has anything to do with you being or not being an Aspie.

...also, remember to calibrate for the milliseconds of lagg.

My flightstick, throttle and copies of Falcon 3.0,Lockon, Wing Commander and Privateer beg to differ. My collection about fighter pilots and attack aircraft laugh at this notion as well.

The planes in BF3 control really awkward and not in a flightsim type of hard. If you really want to kick ass and take names in fighter jets, with or without beach volleyball, then I recommend purchasing the PS2 Ace Combat games or Ace Combat 6 for the 360. Assault Horizon is alright.

What type of sim do you want? Combat or civilian? There's a TON of WW2 sims and one of the very best is the IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946, which I've never tried but will once I have a nice stick and throttle. I just use some 20$ POS for wing commander.

Digital Combat Series (DCS) has the most awesome, realistic A-10 simulator ever and there's one for the Su-25 frogfoot (the attack jet featured in BF3 for Russia). You can fly other jets too but none of the sims have the level of quality and accuracy the A-10 one has. I haven't tried the helo sims but want to. Microsoft Flight Simulator X is a great one too.

Freespace and the Wing Commander series are excellent space sims, fun as hell and awesome. Be warned if you want to try a real jet sim you're going to want a quality stick, throttle and possibly rudder and if you're expecting it to be like Top Gun or something well good luck. Unless you already know how to pilot in real life you're going to need to read the ingame tutorials and pick up several books about flying and Shaw's book on dog fight maneuvering (if you're going combat). Its quite a lot of work but if you love this kind of stuff its awesome. If you just want to blow s**t up I don't recommend flight sims though.

If your looking for a more current version of a space sim in the spirit of Freespace, Privateer and, Elite. Check out Evochron Mercenary. I picked it up on Steam a few weeks ago for $6 US.

That game looks pretty awesome, I'll have to check it out too. Is it any good? The reviews seem lukewarm but the sim genre hasn't been popular for a long time and its not Big Name FPS of the year.
