Is it me, or is Grand Theft Auto V's launch edition full of glitches and bugs? For example, I'm doing the Merryweather Freighter Heist mission, and even though the game says it's given a thermal scope for a sniper rifle to use, it does not, and the sniper rifles have regular scopes, which makes it impossible to complete the mission without a character dying and having to start over. And there's no way to switch rifles. Which brings me to another point, that you can't modify weapon attachments in a menu, you can only do it at an in-game gun shop, and sometimes you have to pay a huge fee to get the attachment back.

Very rarely are console games (well at least large rpg's/open world and big online games) truly finished at release. Just look at how many bugs were in Skyrim. Think that is a comparable game when looking at just the very basic components. Open world, a lot of hype, previous game in the series was over 5 years ago. They are more concerned about hitting the date that was set. Unless there are major glitches the game will go out on time, with patches to fix it. With patches to fix what the first patch broke and missed, then more patches, etc.

Sorry I don't have the game, but is this mission a side mission with no missions coming after it, guild mission (don't know what it would be called in GTA, but doing side missions that are all connected) or campaign? If it is gamebreaking such as one of the latter two, course more so the campaign one, then hopefully there will be a patch for it soon. You could look up when they are releasing a patch and what they plan to fix. If not see if there is a way you can report the glitch.

The second one does not look like a glitch from what you have said but perhaps a design flaw.

I don;t mean like a gamew truly is not finsihed, I mean, I've been going over GTA forums for the answer, and seen a lot of complaints and glitch issues. And it's a story mission, I managed to finish it, but still.

its not a bug, but something thats really unfair that winds me up is when you switch to trevor and he has attracted a 2 star police enquiry rating for doing something while not in the players control. Really stinks, cause the character switch is disabled during a police chase.
