In one of my gaming Facebook groups, one of my friends shared a link to this third-party MMO and I got instantly hooked. It's a PC based version of Pokemon FireRed or LeafGreen, but with a twist. It has massive multiplayer support!

It's currently under development at the moment since move animations and other aspects still need to be updated, but you can trade, battle and chat with other opponents on an MMO server. Considering that this is a third-party game that has the capability for some groundbreaking modifications, I'm really interested in how this will continue to develop in the next few months.

With the trainer battles mechanic in Pokemon games, I've always thought they could make more use of a multiplayer slant on the game.

A Pokemon influenced mmo sounds great!
