I just thought about the prospect. What do you think it would take to get to that point, and how much money could I make doing it? I love making skins, the idea sounds awesome.

typically premium skins sell for a dollar a piece or less, there arent very many paying for them either.

as for custom ordered skins, i have seen offers of people for 25 dollars, often with a few completed orders in each thread, havent kept an eye on who did what and if any had more than a single thread.

the only real place to start is in the minecraft forums, there is a skin section and if you provide a couple of well made free skins then many include the option of custom skins for a fee as well.

that said i have never paid for a skin nor do i know any that have, involving yourself on the skins forum would at least give you asnwers to that and a place to practice your interest.

i might be interested if you could do a perfect ood.
