Nintendo Wii-U(already reserved) then PS4 when it comes out. I currently have a Wii/PS3 and last time a Gamecube/PS2. I've never played either Xbox before not even once.

I am not likely to upgrade from my ps3 to a ps4 for quite some time after the new console change... unless I fall for a woman that's into playing games :?

Gaming is no longer a priority for me... so to spend many hundreds of dollars... or even more than a few on a console otherwise isn't happening >_>

PS4. I'm still going to stick with my PC for most games though.

Each current gen console has disappointed me greatly so I will most likely be saving up for a next gen Pc rig instead, and maybe when the 720 consoles become cheaper I'll purchase an Xbox 720 because I like the controller more and it has a larger US fan base than the other consoles.

Likely the WiiU and the ps4.
Xbox is kinda meh to me. I like sony exclusives better, and my PC can beat any current or next generation console into a pulp. In conclusion, I can ditch the xbox.

I'm only really interested in the WiiU. Don't much care for Sony's consoles, and while the 360 was ok, I wouldn't buy a simple upgrade of it with the direction they're taking with some of the features, like having to have online passes, or talks of trying to get rid of used games entirely. At least with Nintendo I know that I'm going to get great, original experiences that have a lot of depth to them, and now with actual online stuff and more third party support it should be even better.

The only series I care about outside of Nintendo is Metal Gear Solid. Even then, I'm probably not going to get Rising, as it's far from what was once promised and no longer interests me. Ground Zeroes, on the other hand, I'll hold onto my 360 for.

What disappoint you with the direction Sony seem to take? As much as rumors go, it seem the PS4 will be a good system.

Your PC would need to be very powerfull to beat next generation consoles. You can't measure the specifications of a console with the same norms as for a PC, as games for consoles are optimized specifically for say consoles, while PC games must adapts to a lot of configurations. Just look what a PS3 can do with only 256MB of RAM.

Hard to say at this point without knowing anything about the next Microsoft and Sony consoles. They would have to really impress me in order to consider getting either as I'm in no rush for upgrading at the moment. Even if I were, it will most likely be a rather expensive day 1 buy. So I would probably wait for a price drop like I did with the PS3.

I probably won't buy a next gen console since i fell in love with gaming PC's, but if i actually do buy one it's going to be the Xbox 720. Simply because the Xbox 360 never failed me, i thought it was a great system. I probably should look into the Playstation too then but i never had one and the idea feels foreign to me. Internet was free on playstation though that's very nice

I will probably get a PC upgrade and stick with that. Yeah, I'm a PC-gaming convert. Well, actually, I used to play a bunch of games on the PC as a kid, but now I sort of returned to my roots...

I imagine I will eventually want all three, but as far as picking which one I would get first, other than the Wii U coming out earlier there is literally zero to go on. Microsoft and Sony have yet to announce anything regarding their new consoles, no games have been announced for them yet. This topic would make more sense being posted after the next E3 when they likely will announce details and we start seeing what games might be coming out for them at launch. Pretty much all we have to go on right now, is existing franchises that probably will be on the newer systems, but some we won't see for years after launch. Halo for instance, we are getting a new one on 360 next month, the next Xbox wont have one for a couple years after launch at minimum. Same with God of War, the PS3 is getting a new one of those in 2013 right? So until I see what games actually will be coming out in the launch window, I don't know which I will get.

Also, am I the only one who hates the term Xbox 720? Why do people assume that will be the name of the next system? Xbox 360 was a stupid name, but I honestly think there is zero chance Microsoft will call their next system the Xbox 720, its just so much stupider. It will likely be some new prefix or postfix word added to Xbox, but not a number.
