I am learning about chess...and playing once a week.

My estimated Elo rating is 1000, and I've played about 8 or 9 games.

Is that good or bad?

Eight or nine games, and you're estimated 1000? That's absurdly good. I've been called talented for making it to 2000 in slightly over three years. To give you a little perspective, it must have taken me at least three or four times that amount of games to get to 1000.

I took another evaluation, and got under 1500 on all....
I know I'm nowhere close to 15000...

I just don't know much about it...
