Aah, yes. Mario Party. The one game series where friendships can be ruined. I like to call such games the "**** You Bowl" because 1) I love football, and 2) it kinda makes sense to call the games such, ne?

I have played 1, 2, 3, 4, but not any of the ensuing ones. I hope to one day, however! And maybe get my friends to play as well.

I was one of those losers that played Mario Party by myself...

Even by yourself I think its quite fun to play for a while. Only games in the series I don't have are 7 and 9.

I recently played through the new Mario Party 9 for Wii. Then I also rented and played through the two non-numbered handheld versions for the GBA and DS.

The only ones I haven't played are Mario Party 6 and 7 for Gamecube. I want to rent them from Gamefly, but they're listed as "Not-Rentable".

I would love to find copies of 1, 2, 3..... and play them with friends if I could. Maybe during the holidays....

I still have mario party 3, I use to play it all the time with the family. The first one was the best to play alone, that mini game island was so fun.

I only have Mario Party 8. I suck at it.

Mario Party 2 is the only one on the Wii Virtual Console for some reason.

The Gamecube/Wii versions are probably better than the old N64 Mario Party games anyway though. Mario Party 9(Wii) is probably my favorite because it's the newest with the best graphics. It's also the first console MP to include boss battles in it.

I think I can get copies of 1, 2, 3 for about $20-30 each, IIRC; just need to look and look hard.

Also, keep in mind that the Nintendo 64 looks terrible on an HDTV. However, N64 games look good on the Wii virtual console in 480p.

I love 4 6 is also really good, and I sometimes enjoy 7. 5 is alright, never played 1-3 (I was from the beginning Gamecube era), and never played 8. 9 deserves its own category, it's weirdddd XD

Same here, same here. Except on occasions, such as birthdays, Christmas, sometimes during summer recess, and whatnot when I had relatives over, I played (and still play) Mario Party by myself. I've played all of them except the Wii titles (they're so expensive still; I don't have $50 to spend at the moment) but I only own the first three for the Nintendo 64. They're still fun to play though some of the minigames are rather difficult and almost impossible without the prospect of breaking the middle control stick.

You should see the Mario Retardy vids; it's when all the CPU difficulties are set on easy.
