I got a membership for Gamefly the first game they shipped is Borderlands 2. it seems like a cool service, and I can't wait to play the these games I'm renting. the game isn't here yet. but it's on its way. I figure it will show up either today or tomorow.
I actually thought I was going to get Toy Story 3 first, becuase it was supposed to be more available at the time. but I'm glad to get to play Borderlands 2, I've been really excited for this game. I hope to buy it around christmas. anyway, I noticed that alot of Gamefly Unlimited PC play games don't work. I figure it's becuase the games are pretty old and they can't get updates for them anymore.
who all has opinions on Gamefly?

Gamefly was out of my price range for what they actually provide.

I've had a Gamefly subscription for several years now. It's a great way to play new and older games without spending $40-$60 on them. I had the one-game out a time package for awhile, but later I upgraded to two-games at a time which seems much better since it takes almost a week to get another game after mailing one back.

I still buy new games occasionally too though. For example, I just bought "New Super Mario Bros.U" with the Wii-U deluxe version I just got. I also just bought the new Paper Mario for the 3DS.

Their customer support is crap, they won't refund if a problem occurs with the downloadable stuff, and they aren't specific enough on what hardware can't play a certain game.

I lost $20 to them and I'll never use the service again.

I bought Final Fantasy XIII from Gamefly used, and it kept freezing up at about 20 hrs. into the game due to a defective disc. They told they wouldn't replace it free because it had been over 30 days since I bought it. So I put FFXIII at the top of my rental queue. Then I just switched the discs and mailed it back the next day. lol

gamefly is awesome for me. i get to try out games at my leisure without penalty (aside from not getting the next game till i return or buy it) and was able to get a few games cheaply when I bought it. i've bought 3 games from them so far.

I thought about trying a trial membership in December when I have more freetime.

Gamefly is good. My only complaint is that they have a rather low stock of new and popular releases so it can take over a week to get the game you want.
