Borderlands: to 2, or not to 2?

School has caused me to neglect my gaming, but with winter break here, it's time to catch up!

So, I'm just now at level 19 on Borderlands and on my way to kill Sledge (PS, we aren't friends ).

Anyways, when I'm done with the main game should I do the DLC, or go on to Borderlands 2?

THAT, is the question....

I'd say skip DLC's and head straight for Borderlands 2 and it's DLC's
Maybe buy the season pass to get all the current and the up coming dlc's at a discount (at least I think it's a discount)

I only played the Dr Ned/Zed zombie island dlc and it was quite a chore to be honest.
Just one big "kill stuff" DLC and not much depth to it. And I don't think the other dlc's are that interesting either.
