Foosball 101 - All about the good old game of table soccer
I wonder if anyone has delved into this topic here. Well, by my handle you KNOW I am into it. I have been enjoying some of the best competition in the Midwest for the past 25 years and I love to teach and promote and run competitions of the game. Tornado is my main brand but really any machine gets me going and the second American made brand I came to love is Warrior, who is on the comeback trail after taking a back seat for a few years. It's the speed, the reflexes, and most of all the adrenaline that is manufactured by playing someone who might challenge your skill level. Can't say enough for all the different venues that might accommodate players of the game from churches to YMCA to sports arenas for larger events to the local corner pub and large sports bar. If I were to be given the resources I would eventually organize some more international competition where the rewards would be substantial enough to attract more people, bringing them together. I believe it could be a source of good clean fun and entertainment where at the least family members and significant others could bond and much like the chess matches of the dark ages, settle differences and potentially prevent outbreaks of war. It has been a great release for me under times of stress and duress and a bit of an escape I imagine as I pursued my interest based on my greatest strength, that of lightning reflexes and hand-to-eye coordination. I even have a table with blacklight luminosity fluorescent activated men, neon glowing grips, and specially engineered balls for tracer shooting blast trails. Dig that.
