This would be for a game where you play a physic. There is an example, but it is, as usually, unfortunately sexy.

What system are you using? I tend to use a modified GURPs system for my games. You can use it to make pretty much anything.

I don't know really how to do G.U.R.Ps. I don't have much experience with creating RPG characters.

In my opinion, there's too much detail. The players will get bogged down in character generation.

Go for a few simple stats based on 2d6, and derive the others.

Physical: Strength, Agility, Endurance
Mental: Intelligence, Knowledge, Willpower

Health = Sum of physical stats divided by 3.
Personality = Sum of mental stats divided by 3.

Fractions are rounded off to the nearest integer value.

Number of skill points = Sum of Intelligence and Knowledge

* Each level in a particular skill costs one skill point. Referee may allow skill level of zero for common skills (using a household appliance or a computer terminal, for example).

* Skills may involve business, martial arts, survival, vehicles, weapons, or anything that you could get a real-world degree in.

* No more than 4 points can be put into a single skill at the time the character is generated, and skills can not be reduced or "forgotten" later to free up points. Choose carefully.

* Skill success: Roll 2d6 and add skill level. If number is 8 or more, then success; exactly 7 is partial success; 6 or less is failure. An unmodified roll of 2 is always failure, and an unmodified roll of 12 is always successful.

So, basically it's 8 stats and maybe a dozen skill points distributed among a half-dozen skills.

The character's profession is usually chosen from the top-ranked skills.

CHARACTER

Jango Lazo, Male, 22y, Programmer / Martial Artist

ATTRIBUTES

Strength: 8
Agility: 12
Endurance: 6
Intelligence: 7
Knowledge: 7
Willpower: 4

Health: 9
Personality: 6
Skill Points: 14

SKILLS

Computer-4; Katana-4; Pilot-3; Bureaucracy-2; Motorcycle-1; Cooking-0; Fashion-0; Mechanic-0; Medical-0 (First Aid only).

Here's my try at using the G.U.R.Ps system(or at least what Fnord suggested):

Wilkers, Male, 56 years old, Old retired veteran

ATTRIBUTES

Strength: 7
Agility: 5
Endurance: 6
Intelligence: 6
Knowledge: 5
Willpower: 7

Health: 5
Personality: 7
Skill Points: 11

SKILLS
-Complaining About Kids These Days:2 -Genre Savviness:2 -Shotgun:1 -Improvised Weapons:1 -Telling War Stories:4 -Parkour:1

Thoughts?
