The future becoming more real
Hi have any of you played the game Homefront (i have loved it)
its set in the not to distant future in the 2020's
how korea has been reunified into the GKR (greater korean republic)
and is a world power that has annexed much of southeast asia and have invaded america
now at first it sounds ridiculous but when you look at the fictional timeline of the video game it actually does make sense
what i wonder is are there those that worry that this might actually happen
like events that have happened in the game
have already happened in real life
is anyone worried that homefronts story is becoming more true everyday?
just curious
No, I'm not worried about those events per say. That's not to say that North Korea doesn't worry me because they really do, but I don't think they're going to be doing anything like that video game any time soon. An unhinged and unpredictable nation with nuclear capabilities is nothing to laugh at, especially if other fringe nations ally with them. The last thing we need is for someone to start dropping nukes, we've done so well preventing their use since the 40's.
I have played Homefront before. Now that I've updated my computer maybe I should have another look it it since I wasn't getting good frame rates on W7.
Do I think Young Un is unhinged? No. He's too young, but I don't know what all his war-mongering rhetoric is about. South Korea says, "Ah, don't mind them. They do that all the time. Their bark is worse than their bite."
Secretly, what I am hoping is North Korea goes ahead and launches an attack on Hawaii or Guam. The western powers retaliate by bombing the s**t out of North Korea, I mean annihilating every single one of their nuke and weapons plants and bring them to the very edge of extinction where they finally give up, reunify with South Korea, and join the modern world. That might have to happen since they won't do it peacefully.
