Please Help! NFS Most Wanted, Big problem/ Shelby Cobra?

Ok So I have this huge problem in NFS Most Wanted! The Shelby Cobra won't unlock no matter what I do! It's my dad's favorite car, and I want to unlock it so bad.
Problem is, I've beaten the Cobra countless times, and shut it down each time as well. The game says it's unlocked in easy drive. but it never shows up!
Then when I check the most wanted list, guesss what? It says I never unlocked it!! ! What do I do to fix this?
I am playing the ps3 version of the game, with the limited edition DLC. including the timesavers pack, and the ultimate speed pack.

I've searched all over the internet, and can't find an answer... There has to be a way to get this car!
Last time I beat it I used the Pagani Zonda, but I've beaten it with a few other cars as well. So I don't know if that has something to do with this...
