i just recently seen Reveal Trailer and i have to say WOW and i really can't wait for more info on the game and it was confirmed that The Phantom Pain and Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes were the actually one game

I have absolutely no clue what I just watched. I actually have only played some of the beginning of MGS 2 on the Xbox and it was a lousy port so I didn't get very far before shelving it, so I don't know the story of all this, but I swear it looks like Snake is younger than he was in 4.

Yeah, I reached that conclusion too... But the white haired guy at 1:37+?

Last time I checked, Big Boss was younger than Snake (because of Snake's accelerated ageing) when they met in MGS4.

It may be wishful thinking, though, as MGS5 might be a look at past events...

Immediately bought the song on ITunes, though...

Absolutely can not wait! Metal Gear Solid 4 is my favorite game of all time.

Since the game narrative is set in 1983, I'm guessing that is a middle aged Revolver Ocelot you are seeing there.

Did you see the guy with burnt skin at around 1:45? I'd stake money that is 'The Pain' from MGS3 Snake Eater. Hence the game name, 'The Phantom Pain'.

According to the Wikipedia article this will be the first MGS sandbox game so it's going to be very interesting to see how this plays out.

well The Phantom Pain is obviously a reference to the characters missing limb, but they could of course being going for multiple interpretations. Phantom pain typically refers to feeling sensation in a part of the body that is no longer connected to their body, such as with amputees feeling pain or other sensations in limbs that were removed.
