Fellow TOR player here.

I spend most of my time on The Bastion with my main (a level 55 sage) for doing operations.

My overall assessment of TOR? I love doing operations with my guild, but can't stand the leveling process. That and I specialize in playing healers, it's the only role that keeps my interest, but I have DPSed and Tanked the top level content previously.

Did you have a favorite class storyline? My favorite is probably the consular, on the basis of being my first run through at launch.

I play on the Shadowlands server & I have a FRUSTRATINGLY hard time w/ video games! Oh how I am hungry for someone in rl to help me out! :( I like the warrior storyline tho. I am playing like 1 or 2 each class on my Rabinowitz legacy.

Sith warrior and Jedi Knight storyline were both really great. Imperial Agent was good to and very interesting, but not as good from my oppinion as the warrior/knight stories. Bountyhunter story sucked in my eyes, it wasnt very interesting. Alliance trooper story was better, but not as good that I would have played until the end, so I only know about chapter 1. It was ok, but it couldnt motivate me to play it until the end, because of me already knowing the class mechanic from the bounty hunter.

Generally SWTOR made me pretty sad, because you hardly find a guild that doesnt use TS3 instead the standard chat. I am very sensible to noises, so if I am fed up I cant stand listening the whole evening to people chatting, but because of all of them doing so, noone uses the guildchat anymore, so I dont manage to get connected to the guildmates. :( When WoW started, it was the opposite way, most people used the normal written chat, so suddenly I had a possibility to easily communicate with many people. :(

I´d like to join you, but sadly I am on a european server.

Edit: Forgot about Sith sorcerer. Similar to imperial agent. Good but not as good as warrior/knight. :)

I got through Act II with the Jedi Knight and was more like 'eh, it's okay.' Okay, honestly, I played it only after legacy and buff inheritance came out so I could quickly buff allies after a battle rez during raids.

That's unfortunate. - I've found during high end op fights that voice chat is almost essential to communicating information in time. Even typing 80wpm isn't enough to bridge the strict timers. That and pvpers on voice chat have a huge advantage against those that don't use it. Also the fact that voice chat is far less a strain on bandwidth these days and relatively cheap (back when I was paying for my guild's voice chat server it was something like $6/month for 35 people at a time). So there's a lot of reasons most people will prefer the voice chat. Still, I wish you luck in finding a guild that you can connect with.

Its not about High end Operation. There I like to use TS3, because normally its the Raidleader talking the necessary stuff and silence for all others. I am talking about normal guild communication, so the daily "Whats on." and everything. People dont write in the guildchat anymore, that they want to go there and do that, when 95% of the guild is online in the TS3 guildchat. Or as example its the second time, that suddenly my guild "disappeared" because of problems. Suddenly you read in the guildforum that this and that one cant stand another person anymore, that others dislike each other, because they had somearguing.... I dont get these informations anymore,

The written guildchat simply was dead, I played with guilds that had about 4 High end Operations group and as long as there is no raidday, when you are anyway in the TS3 there was not a written sentence for hours. Also forums are no longer used as it was in earlier days, you dont have funthreads anymore or people posting funny pictures or anything, because they simply say in TS3-Chat "He, look at that." and then post the link in the TS3.

Beside the evenings when there was High end Raiding, it seemed for me, as if I was not in a guild. And then suddenly you come online, there are only 5 people left from one day to the other, and one of the remaining ones tells you, that because of some people disliking each other for weeks (which I also didnt know, while professional raiding you dont talk about that stuff), half of the people left, causing empty places in the raidgroups, leading to other person deciding alos to join other guilds instead of rebuilding the groups....

Its simply that I am not part of a guild anymore, because of that. During the raiding, while I am in TS there is no private talk, in the forum there is no private talk anymore and in the guildchat there is no private talk anymore. And if I join TS3 outside professional raiding, its simply too much for me, because the sound quality is bad and I have hearing problems with sounds anyway, everyones speaking in a mess and in the same time. As I described it to a guildmate once: Joining the TS for me for general guild chitchat is as useful for me as if I would travel to the Peking fishmark and listen there. Its simply a lot of noise and sounds, but I hardly understand anything, and after 1 hour I am so exhausted, that I even cant concnetrate on farming anymore.

I am sad. I would like to be part of the guild I join, but I cant because guildlife only exists in TS3 anymore. :(

I got to lvl 50 with my jedi sentinel and I thought the story was pretty good, but gameplay seemed a little slow sometimes because I solo'd most of the game. It was still fun though. I've started a couple other classes.
