I'm surprised no one has brought this up. Ninty's most recent promotion is awesome. If you buy Shin Megami Tensei IV and Fire Emblem: Awakening, and register them both by the end of next month, you will get a $30 credit for the 3ds's eShop. I already had SMTIV pre-ordered, so, when I picked up my pre-order, I decided to buy FE:A too. I had never played a FE before, but I've heard a lot about the series, so I thought I might as well give it a try. Now I have had a hard time putting the game down. Curse you Ninty! :)

Anyways, just today I decided to spend $8(plus tax) of my credit on Attack of the Friday Monsters! A Tokyo Tale. It sounded interesting enough, and I never heard of it, which is all the more reason why I decided to check it out, and immediately add it to my backlog. Did anyone else take advantage of Ninty's deal? If so, have you spent any of your credit yet? Sony's latest PS Play initiative is nice too. If you pre-order all four of the games featured, you'll get $10 back, which is kind of cool, but I'm going to have to give Ninty the point this time, since $30 is more than $10, even if the eShop is a disorganized mess IMHO. I'm aware that the deal is just one big promotion for SMTxFE, but it's awesome, so I don't care.

Yeah I saw this. Awesome promotion stateside and 2 very good games.

We recently had a promo in EU where if you got 3 of 8 games listed you would get the 4th for free digitally. It was running at the same time as a Monster Hunter promo where if you bought MH and a friend just registered their 3DS you could essentially give them the game for free, and due to a loophole it was possible to continually give the game out for free to new 3DS owners

Alas those promos are over, but I managed to get a code for Monster Hunter off ebay for like $15 of your dollars. Worth every penny!

Saw it, but I think I've been spending enough money lately >_<

Besides, I'm one of those weird people who don't like to play/watch sequels without going through the originals first, and that would be a bit difficult to do with SMT. Maybe Fire Emblem too...I would buy them and they would just collect dust for forever =)

I liked the older Fire Emblem games. I agree with you about playing the originals first. Emulators really come in handy for that reason.

That game is freaking expensive. I was going to buy it thinking it was $35 or something. I don't have a lot of money right now, either.

I was obsessed for a few weeks, and now I'm a little bored. Have you played previous games?

This was my first Animal Crossing game as I haven't had a Nintendo console since the SNES.

Be careful. Animal Crossing can suck your soul away if you let it. Just be sure to remember to live in the real world too. :P Don't let the cute animals fool you. AC is just as addicting as any mmo, and it will only end when you decide to end it. Granted, I got hooked on that stupid FE game, so I'm in no position to talk. :?

And that's the main reason why I have no plans to pick up the latest AC. I already sold my soul to AC twice, and it was hard to get it back. I spent a full year playing Wild World, and I lost a few months to City Folk. New Leaf looks amazing, but I've been down that road before, and it's not a road I want to go down again. With that said, I didn't plan on getting City Folk either, and eventually ended up doing it out of curiousity of the city aspect, so who knows what the future will hold?
